{"id":18945,"date":"2019-04-10T00:48:52","date_gmt":"2019-04-10T04:48:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mdpair.com\/worlds-first-commercial-drone-deliveries-take-to-skies-in-australia\/"},"modified":"2019-04-10T00:48:52","modified_gmt":"2019-04-10T04:48:52","slug":"worlds-first-commercial-drone-deliveries-take-to-skies-in-australia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mdpair.com\/?p=18945","title":{"rendered":"World&#8217;s first commercial drone deliveries take to skies in Australia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The world&#039;s first commercial <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/drones\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">drone<\/a> deliveries are underway in Australia after aviation authorities granted a license to a Google-funded startup.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Australia&#039;s Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) gave approval to Wing &#8211; a subsidiary of Google&#039;s parent company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/topic\/alphabet\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alphabet<\/a> &#8211; to deliver packages via drone, after a trial of the service proved successful.<\/p>\n<p>Only around 100 homes in the suburbs of Canberra will initially be eligible for the drone deliveries, though a wider roll-out is expected.<\/p>\n<h3>We\u2019ll tell you what\u2019s true.
