Spanish Project To Introduce Drones at Airbus Plant

A drone like this one from Ascending Technologies, now owned by Intel, was used at an indoor obstacle course to develop trajectory planning and collision-avoidance algorithms.

Researchers with Spain’s Center for Advanced Aerospace Technologies (CATEC), the University of Seville and Airbus will test the use of a small multi-rotor drone to perform tasks in an aerospace manufacturing plant under the European Robotics Challenges (EuRoC). The university-led Group on Robotics, Vision and Control (GRVC) and CATEC represent one of two teams selected to advance to the third stage of the challenge, which calls for starting a pilot program in an actual factory.

eNCA | EU unveils plans to regulate drones by 2019

File: The world's first pizza drone delivery was claimed by the New Zealand division of fast food giant Domino's, as it looks to grab a slice of a potentially hot future market.

BRUSSELS, Belgium – The EU unveiled a blueprint to safely regulate drone traffic in Europe by 2019 in order to tap the growing commercial potential for unmanned aircraft technology.

The blueprint from the European Commission, the EU executive, covers allowing drones to operate in high density under the supervision of fleet operators.

“Drones mean innovation, new services for citizens, new business models and a huge potential for economic growth,” EU Transport Minister Violeta Bulc said.

“We need the EU to be in the driving seat and have a safe drone services market up and running by 2019,” she said in a statement.

F150 mods cheap Stubby Antenna – Review and Install Prevents snags while in the woods conducting drone operations

Looking for some f150 mods cheap? This stubby antenna for your f150, or other truck? I was. I did a few missions with my truck in some areas that had low lying branches. While they didn’t do paint damage, the antenna was catching them and causing them to fling back hitting the truck harder. The antenna was also getting whipped. I decided to research either an antenna delete or a stubby. I decided to go stubby since there would be a gap where the antenna was.

I found a few options, some included a bottle opener for around 27.00. I went ahead with the cheapest option at 19.00 and went with the 4-5 inch size. Which you can find here:

Installation

Installation took nearly 5 minutes. That is it. The package comes loosely separated, antenna and threaded rod to attach to your truck. Make sure you match the thread size to your truck. One side is fine and the other coarse. For this application, I did not put any thread lock onto the stubby antenna F150 mod. Instead, I realized that it will take a lot of travel for it to come out of the socket. Hand tightening as seen in the video is all you need. If you do want a little more tightness I suggest using a cloth or lid gripper from the kitchen. Don’t overtighten though.

Overall

I really like the shorter look. It does draw attention and a quick, that’s neat since it nearly deletes the longer stock antenna. There is no performance drop that I can notice from shortening the antenna.
